A Spanish Harlem Nuyorican, Marc Anthony (b.1968) moved from Latin freestyle to salsa in the early 1990s with producer Sergio George, beginning with 'Otra Nota' and 'Todo a Su Tiempo'. He became salsa's biggest crossover star of the Latin Explosion and the best-selling tropical/salsa artist of all time, also succeeding in English-language pop.
